This is an extract from many pages I've written about my life as an expat living in Oman and Nigeria, as well as general worldly thoughts. Whilst the overseas life seemed very normal and ordinary, it is only on recounting tales of snakes, power cuts and witch doctors that you realise you have been exposed to some unique experiences. Thanks to the Framework Gallery, Morningside Road, Edinburgh EH10 4AY for including my work in their current exhibition. The floral-themed show will run for a couple of weeks to celebrate the arrival of our much awaited Spring. Everyone is welcome.
Just making the final preparations for the opening of my exhibition, on Monday. I'm very happy with the fantastic job Jamie has made of the framing, each one hand-coloured to coordinate with my paintings. Jamie is very dedicated and has a considerable eye for what he does. I've put a small video online with some of my paintings. There are a combination of older pieces and some that I will be exhibiting in February. The accompanying music, which I find hauntingly beautiful, is by Era, from their album Era Volume 2.
